The Samsung Galaxy, due to be released in the Spring or Summer of 2012, will most likely be very similar to its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S2, released in April of last year. Much like the iPhone 4S was to the iPhone 4, the Samsung Galaxy S3 will probably have a lot of similarities to the S2 and a few crucial differences and upgrades that will put it at the top of the list of the world’s technological wonders – until something bigger and better comes along.

The Screen That Everyone’s Screaming About

The S3 will feature an HD touch screen with a reported size of as wide as over four and a half inches. This will be the largest and best quality touch screen of practically any smartphone to date and will be a definite drawing point for the new Galaxy. Just in case the size and resolution weren’t enough for you, the giant touch screen on the S3 will also come with Super AMOLED capacity and be equipped with NFC. These features will skyrocket this model far past anything else we have seen in the smartphone world, at least as far as the display is concerned.

The OS

The operating system on the Samsung Galaxy S3 will be the fourth release of Android, a release tantalizingly known as Ice Cream Sandwich. The skin of this operating system has been entirely redone to make the interface process both easier and more interesting. The new touch screen-optimized skin will be known as TouchWiz.

The Galaxy’s Inner Space

Under the hood of the new Samsung Galaxy S3 will be a Samsung Exynos 4212 processor to power the little beast. This cutting-edge powerhouse of speed and agility has been clocked at 1.8 gigahertz, enough to turn most other smartphones green with envy. The Samsung Galaxy S3 will also come with two gigabytes of RAM.

The Camera

The other huge drawing point for the Samsung Galaxy S3 will be the camera. With an incredible resolution of 3264 by 2448, the new Galaxy’s 16 megapixel camera will be just as good if not better than many digital cameras on the market today. The camera will come with an LED flash and an autofocus feature that will rival many professional cameras. It will be able to capture HD video at a rate of 60 frames per second.In still mode, the camera will be able to take as many as 30 stills per second at a resolution of about eight megapixels each. The new Galaxy will also feature a secondary camera with a resolution of two megapixels.

3D Technology?

Although the details of this are not yet fully known, the Galaxy S3 may come with some kind of 3D interface or technology. Whether this has to do with a 3D-capable touch screen, simply two primary cameras placed side by side, or something else entirely is not yet certain.

Conclusion

So far, the Samsung Galaxy S3 is expected to be made available in either black or white, but other colors may become available as the release date nears. Many projections have given the Samsung Galaxy S3 a release date of somewhere between April and July, 2012.

Samsung has chosen Layar as one of the applications to be pre-installed on certain Samsung devices, along with many other applications such as “Maps” and “Calendar.” As per Samsung’s policy, none of these pre-installed applications can be removed by the user and are automatically updated by Samsung. You can uninstall preinstalled apps on your devices by rooting them.

The app will display digital information called “layers” into your smartphone field of vision. Layar it`s a perfect for travel: you can brows things around you, choose your restaurants, it will tell you how many pont of interest found next to you. You may see some layers in augmented reallity, now with 3d objects. For finding these location, Layar will use GPS (phone location or you may set your country from settings) and it will may discharge your battert faster.

You may connect to Layar with your Facebook or Twitter accont and share your spots, layers or screen shots within social networks.

In conclusion it is a great application, especially for travel or a walk through the city.

Saved calls will be found in auto_call_recorder directory on your SD card in .3gp extension. The records will be on folders sorted by months. For manage and explore your SD card directors you may use Astro File Manager.  When you start a call the app is autostarting and it may notify you, depends on how u set it:  on the status bar, on screen (toast) or not notifying you at all. You may also set the shortest record to keep (ex. 1 sec). The recording is pretty good, but the voice of the person who`s calling you it`s a bit low; that is one thing it can be improoved. The other thing that Auto Call Recorder can improove it`s to allow you to save the recordings in a custom folder.

What i like about this app is that does not require access to the internet -and you can be sure no data about you or your recordings are collected by Auto Call Recorder and it`s very usefull for me taking into consideration that I work at an online store wich takes orders by the phones too. If i am somewhere when i don`t have a pen and a paper or  i can`t write down the order, the call recorder is doing my job.

Skyvi it`s free,  fun, it can find you pizza or it can tell you where you can watch a movie nearby. And it`s fun; for exemple, tell Skyvi it`s stupid and he will answer you “I will remember you said that when robots take over the World”. For text to speech enginge I recommend Ivona (you can download it in romanian, german, french, german, polish and many english accents like american, british, welsh, australian), probably the best tts engine available.

I’ve had some issues with a few questions, Skyvi doesn’t understand some of what I`m asking and it says “You`ve got my full attention” and it ask me a random question like “What are you wearing?”.

Here are a few conversations with Skyvi and his answers:

• Tell me a joke – “It is better to be silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth an remove all doubt”
• You are stupid – “I will remember you said that when robots take over the World”
• Find me pizza – It gave me several adress with pizza in nearby, with the posibilty to view them on the map
• You are nice – “Thanks and you are a delightful person too. Am I a nice? Of course I am”
• Where can I watch a movie? – It gave me several adress with the posibilty to view them on Google maps
• Lalalala – ” You have a beautiful voice”

So, Skyve it`s a pretty cool and funny application with room for improove his accuracy. It`s a good competitor for Iphone`s Siri.
